Example of Early Admission

Question: I will graduate in the Spring with my Bachelor’s degree, to which semester should I apply under the Early Admission program?

Answer: You should apply to the LAST semester of your senior year, in this case you would apply for the Spring semester (which is from January to May). If you intend to graduate in December with your bachelor's degree, you would apply for the Fall semester (which is from September to December)

Description: For example Joe Smith is currently a Senior at UNH for the Spring semester of 2007 (term 200602). He plans on graduating in May 2007 with his Bachelors degree. He wants to become an early admit. So when he applies to the graduate school as an early admit (dual degree student working on both his undergrad and graduate degree at the same time) he must apply for the same term that he is currently an undergrad at UNH and plans on graduating. Since that is Spring of 2007 (term 200602) he would submit his graduate school application for Spring 2007 (200602) as well. This is because he will be working on BOTH degrees at the same time and therefore has to be in both programs during the same semester. Once he graduates with his undergrad degree he will then begin work as a regular graduate degree student for the following semester.
