Graduate Student Space unveiling
New working space for write-ins, workshops, lectures, meetings
On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Graduate School and Graduate Student Senate unveiled the Graduate Student Space, a new place for graduate students to meet for lectures, write-ins, workshops and other events.
Located in G15 and G16 on the ground floor of Thompson Hall, the new space comprises several rooms, including a classroom, lounge and small group study space. Open hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The space, which has been years in the making, will host many events organized by the Graduate School and GSS, including professional development and wellness workshops, writing groups and GSS meetings.
Between Graduate School and GSS programming, students are welcome to come in and work here independently, and the small group study space (G15B) will be open for students to book for up to two hours per day via a schedule posted outside the room.
