Working with Your Mentor: Faculty Perspectives on Developing a Good Relationship
Monday, October 19, 2020 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
The mentor/mentee relationship plays an important role in graduate student life. But what does it mean to be a mentor/mentee? How do you make the most of that relationship? Come hear Professors Todd DeMitchell and Win Watson—both of whom have been recipients of the Faculty Mentor Award—talk about what good mentoring is for them and how their students help them become better mentors. Assistant Dean Dovev Levine will facilitate this conversation and ask questions that have been raised by students in his role as an academic adviser. This event is the first of a 3-part series followed by 1) student perspectives on mentorship, and 2) academic advisor perspectives on mentorship (Dates TBD). Please register to attend, or to receive the recording if you can’t make it.
