Research Topic

Population Dynamics of Bat Species Impacted by White-nose Syndrome in the Northeastern United States

Katherine's research integrates population biology, conservation biology, and disease ecology to try to understand how bat populations in the Northeast have been impacted by white-nose syndrome, a fungal disease killing millions of bats. She hopes to develop and explore strategies to promote recovery of bat populations.
