Important Travel Grant Announcement
Due to the institution’s transition to Workday, and the high volume of commitments made thus far this year, the Travel Grant program will be paused to new travel grant requests from Nov. 15th to Jan. 15th. When the program reopens in January, there will be ~$15-$20k left to disburse. After that threshold is met, the program will be closing until the next fiscal year. We encourage graduate students and their advisors to seek all available funding options from their various disciplinary societies and national organizations. If you have any questions, feel to reach out at grad.deansoffice@unh.edu.
The Graduate School is pleased to announce that travel grants are available to assist graduate students presenting papers and poster sessions at professional meetings and conferences. This includes costs incurred from online events such as registration and conference fees. Travel grants are also available to students who are attending professional development workshops and seminars that will enhance their research agendas.
New Policy Effective August 26, 2024: Students are eligible to receive one travel grant per academic year (fall to summer) and the grant will not exceed $400. All applicants must be current graduate students at the time of the application and travel. Students seeking a travel grant must make the request for prior to the date of their conference or meeting. Please note that USNH policy has a 45-day post-travel limit on reimbursement.
Students receiving travel grants will be expected to participate in the Graduate Research Conference during Graduate Student Appreciation Week, which is held each year in early spring. Also, the names of travel grant recipients will be posted on the graduate school website.
