Research Topic
Community Engagement in Building Resilience to Extreme Heat Risks in Seacoast New Hampshire
My research focuses on community engagement in building climate resilience within the Seacoast area, with a specific focus on the risks associated with extreme heat events. My research includes analyzing existing extreme heat policies with a view to propose policy recommendations for municipalities and community leaders; learning about existing risk perceptions of extreme heat among communities in the Seacoast, and; testing the use of maps as tools for promoting effective collaboration between interest groups to build local extreme heat resilience.
